Although we could recycle 80% of our waste, we are only recycling or composting 11%.It is essential to encourage people to recycle.

It all starts with one person making an effort.

   

     
Its a fact now that 9 out of ten people have a kerbside collection scheme in their area. If you have not already joined your local scheme get in touch with your local council.
Think about what items can be recycled and encourage the household to get into a routine of recycling.
Each Council collects different material but most collect glass, cans and paper. Get in touch with your council to find out what they recycle.
Make a note of what days the council collect recycled rubbish. Some councils are weekly others are fortnightly.
